These resources include full text of books, magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias, and multimedia on any subject/topic that are licensed to BCPS for use by teachers, students, and their families.  The Office of Library Information Services makes all theses resources accessible 24/7 at its website for Virtual Resources, Digital Content, e-books Portal.  No passwords are needed when using these resources within the BCPS network; however, when using from outside BCPS, e.g., home or any Internet connection, passwords are needed in order to ensure compliance with licensing agreements with the vendors.  Click here for password handout on BCPS Intranet.  What makes these resources different from content you find freely available on the Web is the publisher's editorial review to ensure reliability and authoritative content, user-friendly interface, and focus on K-12  information needs.   Check out the video the Human Element for a quick explanation of the benefits and reasons to use licensed digital content resources.
